Why practices send digital cases to our lab

Digital case submission reduces shipping friction, shortens communication loops, and gives both the practice and the lab faster access to the information needed to move a case forward.

For most offices, the biggest advantages are practical. Digital workflows simplify transfer, make scan review easier, and reduce some of the small delays that slow down traditional case submission.

We work with practices that want those digital advantages without giving up the value of clear communication, restorative judgment, and dependable crown and bridge support.

Digital systems we accept

We currently accept digital scans and case submissions from the following workflows:

• 3Shape TRIOS
• iTero
• Medit Link
• Sirona / Primescan through DS Core
• STL files when appropriate for the case and workflow

How to send a 3Shape TRIOS case

If your practice uses TRIOS, the process is generally simple. Add Rohling Dental Laboratory inside your 3Shape workflow and select us as the receiving lab when sending the case.

1. Go to your 3Shape Communicate portal.
2. Add lab: Rohling Dental Laboratory.
3. Select us as your preferred destination or receiving lab.
4. Send the scan and include your Rx details and any relevant notes.

If your team needs help locating our lab in the portal, we can assist directly.

How to send an iTero case

We are an iTero-compatible lab and can receive scans through the iTero ecosystem. The exact screens may vary slightly by software version, but the overall workflow is consistent.

1. Open your iTero scanner system or portal.
2. Go to the section for Connections, Labs, or My Labs.
3. Search for Rohling Dental Laboratory.
4. Add us as a connected lab and submit your case with Rx details.

How to send a Medit case

Medit Link is designed to make lab connection straightforward. Once our lab has been added as a partner, your office can route cases directly through the platform.

1. Log in to Medit Link.
2. Click Partners and then Add Partner.
3. Search for Rohling Dental Laboratory.
4. Send your scan through Medit Link with the case details attached.

As with other platforms, we recommend including complete restorative notes, material selection, shade, and any photos that help with case interpretation.

How to send a Sirona case through DS Core

If your practice uses Primescan or other Sirona digital workflows, DS Core provides a clean way to transmit case information to the lab.

We are an approved receiving lab inside the DS Core ecosystem. You can add us using the secure invitation link below or locate us directly inside your DS Core account.

Before you send a digital case

The transfer method matters, but the quality of the submitted case still depends on the basics. Before sending a digital impression, we recommend confirming the following:

• Margins are clearly visible and tissue management is adequate.
• Opposing and bite scans are complete and accurately captured.
• Prescription details are included, including material, shade, and special instructions.
• Photos are attached when helpful, especially for anterior or esthetic cases.

A clean scan and complete Rx information reduce delays, avoid unnecessary callbacks, and improve the chances of a predictable seat.
